Key points of UTVi-CVoter Exclusive Survey on what India thinks of taxes in Budget 2009.

An exclusive UTVi-CVoter survey found:
 
- 40 percent felt that their tax money was NOT being properly utilised
 
- 49 percent said the UPA govt's economic performance was better than the NDA govt
 
- 60 percent said they were ready to pay MORE TAXES for better roads, power, water
 
- 54 percent said they agree with the slab-based tax structure
 
- 63 percent said they take economic and fiscal decisions keeping in mind the budget
 
We surveyed 1058 households today across 20 states, covering all income groups.
